Mr. Ant on the Hunt

One macro shot using the same experiment I did on the past. I brought my camera with me today I hope I can shoot some during lunch break.

This is Mr. Ant crawling on a branch don't know where to go, he keeps on sneaking and walking looking for his way out of my lens sight. Ooopss! Sorry Mr. Ant don't worry you look great on the picture though.

Will a yellow green pass on Mellow Yellow Monday? I hope so, anyway the border is yellow good enough right?

Happy Macro Monday and Mellow Yellow Monday!

Flowers for My Friends

When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it,
it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to
someone else. Most people in the city rush around so,
they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see
it whether they want to or not.
~Georgia O'Keeffe~

This is a little blossoming flower for all my friends living in the City, because of their busy life they forgot to look back and peek on flowers around them. So here's one for you to refresh your stressed mind, body and soul.

And There was Lights

Joy requires one to be awake,
Adjusting the heart's ambience to bright.
Some prefer the dark, as is their right,
On grounds of agony, and to forsake
Not only bliss, but all that's blessed by light.

Gusto niyo ba sumama?

I'm a coffee addict, I can't end my day without having a cup of coffee. Later tonight we have a badminton session with friends and after our game I'm planning to sip a cup of cappuccino. Wanna join me?

Ito po ang lahok ko sa Litratong Pinoy sa araw na ito na may temang "Balak".

This is my entry for today's Filipino Photos today with theme "Plan".

Yellow Birthday Flower

Hello everyone it's already the 25th of January and it's my birthday today! Yippee thank you Lord for giving me another year.

I was supposed to do my posting upon my arrival at the office but wasn't able to do it because I have to prepare materials to be used on our meeting. So here I am trying my best not to be late on my meme mania today.

My post for Macro Monday and Mellow Yellow Monday today is also another super macro experiment thing that I have done together with my last Monday post. Same problem I have encountered , it was so hard to focus. I hope this is a pretty fine photo for a macro. Next time I need to use tripod and hope I can come up with a much better result.

Today I'll call this flower as a Yellow Birthday Flower, since it's my birthday and because I do not know the name of the flower hehehe.

Happy Monday Everyone! Need to get back on my work work work.

Something Orange

My post for today is a flowering plant that I have seen beside the cascading river in Mimar's Springway Resort in Timoga Iligan City. This is quite abundant on wet places I guess, but I do not know it's name.

So here it is a something orange flower from Timoga, Iligan City.

She's cute and very playful.

She looks good in monochrome too don't you think?

Litratong Pinoy: Magustuhan (Like)

Would you like to portray a devil role in a play? My entry for Filipino Photo for today is a role played by a gay as “Satan” enemy of St. Michael the Archangel in a Street Dancing to celebrate the feast of St. Michael the Archangel on September 29, 2009 at Iligan City. His facial expression shows how dedicated he was to play his role to the best he can to win the competition. Too bad I did not know if their group had won or not.

An Extraordinary Substance

Water, the Hub of Life.
Water is its mater and matrix, mother and medium.
Water is the most extraordinary substance!

Practically all its properties are anomolous, which enabled life to use it as building
material for its machinery.
Life is water dancing to the tune of solids.

Bohol: Dauis Church

Located in the island of Panglao, the Church of Lady of Assumption in Dauis Town is another beautiful church found in Bohol Philippines. The record of this sophisticated and complex structure can be traced back in 1753. Light materials were used then to build the church and had undergone several reconstruction until 1863, when Rev. Fr. Julio Saldana, a Recollect started the construction of the 5th structure, that’s the present church we have now, after that series of add-ons and repairs were made and that's history.

Please visit here if you want more of Dauis Church history.

Anyway, this is my share for My World on Tuesday for today, the Dauis Church in Bohol.

Photo taken on May 2009 during our wedding anniversary tour in Bohol.

Just Another Macro Experiment

One day I brought my camera with me at the office with the extension tube and kit lens. I wanted to experiment macro again. I picked a yellow weed flower along the way from the canteen to my station during lunch break. And since it was break time I was able to do series of practice shots at my desk. It was not easy, I found it very hard to focus. I have here is one of the successful shot I had, I guess.

Equipment used: Canon 1000D, kit lens 18-55mm and extension tube

I do not know the name of the flower so I'll leave it blank this time.

Sky and Ricefields

A cold rainy Friday here in Iligan City today and to compensate the situation I'm posting a photo opposite to the weather we have here this moment. My SkyWatch Friday is another shot I took at Cabanglasan, Bukidnon, depicting a typical view in a province with clear sky above a vast ricefield.

Litratong Pinoy: Manipis (Thin)

I searched for a photo to be shared on "Filipino Photo" today thursday, it was difficult for me to get one, good thing we ordered and ate pizza the other night I was able to get an entry then for today's theme "Thin".

This pizza has thin crust and very delicious when eaten while it is hot. This is the pizza served at "Calda Pizza" in Iligan.

Iligan City: Refreshing Water of Timoga

Last Saturday the gang attended Nice (our friend) nephew's birthday party on one of the famous swimming destination in Iligan City the Timoga Pools.

Timoga, located at Buru-un Iligan City has around 10 swimming resorts (I'll check the exact figure later) all are enjoying the bounty free flowing water coming from the mountain spring. When you are in Iligan, you can choose which ever pool you want all of them will give you chilling and refreshing water.

These are the photos taken at Mimar's Springway Resort.

These are excess water from the spring freely flowing beside the main and kiddie pools, the resort landscaped the area with cascading waterfalls.

And this is the kiddie pool. The kids left and the grown-ups took over.

Enjoy My Watery Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday for today my friends.
