Just Another Macro Experiment

One day I brought my camera with me at the office with the extension tube and kit lens. I wanted to experiment macro again. I picked a yellow weed flower along the way from the canteen to my station during lunch break. And since it was break time I was able to do series of practice shots at my desk. It was not easy, I found it very hard to focus. I have here is one of the successful shot I had, I guess.

Equipment used: Canon 1000D, kit lens 18-55mm and extension tube

I do not know the name of the flower so I'll leave it blank this time.

  2. Great shot! I wish I knew how to take pictures in macro shot :(. It always gets blurry after all.

  3. This is a fine image. Nice color and composition. Always use a tripod and a remote release to minimize vibration. I usually lock the mirror up on my F3 before I pull the trigger.

Stop down to get the most depth of field. When you're this close, depth of field is limited. Turn that into an asset so you can blur backgrounds. Finding the right focus plane is up to your eye and each photo.

You have a good eye. Just keep practicing. Macro photography is so very satisfying.
