My last week Monochrome entry is on the Monochrome Weekly Wall this week. Thanks Aileni!
Today my post is another scene of Macajalar Bay in Cagayan de Oro City that I had converted into B&W. Hope you'll appreciate it too.

Litratong Pinoy: Husay
You will appreciate and believe how skillfull and good dancers these students are while performing on the streets everytime there is a feast in town. All of them are giving their best to show judges how good thier performance are to be declared as Champion on this yearly competition held every year to celebrate the feast of St. Michael the Archangel.

Ito po ang lahok ko para sa Litratong Pinoy sa araw na ito.

Cagayan de Oro City: Macajalar Bay
Last Saturday Hubby and I with our bodyguard Nice who always want to tag along went to Cagayan de Oro City. Our main purpose was to look for a replacement tire for our 2 month old second hand used car. But unfortunately we were not able to find it since a 215/50/R17 type of tire is not widely used here in Northern Mindanao because of the road condition. Our only hope was to have it bought in Cebu City since we bought the car at Cebu too. Yesterday our Erwin called and told us that he was able to canvass the said tires at Cebu City and are indeed available there. Hopefully by weekend it will be shipped here in Iligan City.
So much for that, before going back home on Saturday we dropped for a while at Macajalar Bay in Cagayan de Oro City to shoot some outdoor and seascape shots. This is one of the shots that I got so far perfect for Watery Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday memes.
After 30 minutes of shooting we went directly home to attend out friend Mia's Birthday Bash at Paeng's Resto Bar and all night videoke at Twilight.
Some of the foods we had and our the celebrant photo is here.

Zamboanga City: Lunzuran Landscape
When I was still assigned in Zamboanga Area Control Center as Operation Shift Engineer, I have always passed by on this side of the City every time I'm on my way to work and vice versa.
Driving a motorbike and at the same time glancing sideways to view scenes around is quite dengerous right but whenever I passed here I'll make it a point to glance for a while and mesmerize the view. I love it most in the morning when the fresh sunshine lit the mountain range.
I stood at the side of the road and took this photo along barangay Lunzuran, Zamboanga City. You can see burned grasses near where I stood this is because the area in under development. Soon an exclusive subdivision will stood there and will eventually block this beautiful scenery.

Birds of Paradise
Busy doing something else took me away from my personal computer for a while and made me a slacker blogger. I'm a little bit late for my Today's Flower today and just in time for Mellow Yellow Monday.
So here's my share for today I believe this is one of the vast species of "Birds of Paradise".
Have A Beautiful Monday!

Light Tower on Gloomy Sky

This is a light tower or watch tower whatever it is called at Iligan City Port. My friend and I was lucky enough to enter the port just to take photographs thanks to the port police for giving us few minutes. Though it was gloomy that time but I guess I was able too took some striking photos. I just hope you agree that this one includes the so called striking photo collection.

Litratong Pinoy: Batik (Stain)
Magandang Araw
Will my entry pass today's Filipino Photo featuring the theme "Stain"? I can't think of any photo except for this one that I have took in one of the resto bar in Zamboanga City. This is a root of a big tree that was made into a chandelier. For me the small bulbs looks like a stain twinkling stars in the sky.
Hope you will like my post for today.
Have a Nice Day!

Sunset and Foreground
Last Saturday Joven and I went on a sunset hunting. After a short photo shoot at the pier (thanks to the police for letting us in even for a few minutes) we went directly to Centennial park maybe we can catch up a beautiful sunset there since it was so cloudy at the pier. Luck is on our side, because we were able to witness the beautiful setting of the mighty sun.
This is one of the photos I got. I asked my friend to be the foreground.
What is a foreground? Foreground is a part of the image closer than the main subject. It is used to enhance the image.
Foreground can play a powerful role in an image it can greatly contribute emotion to the image, besides that’s what photography is all about “communicating an emotion”. However, when used improperly foregrounds can end up nothing but a distraction in the image.
In my photo above do you think using my friend as a foreground was a good idea? I do hope I was able to add emotions in the image not the other way around.
This is also my World on Tuesday a sunset along the Iligan’s Centennial Park.

Living is a Grand Thing
Happy Monday Everyone! Today after Valentines let's celebrate "Life" and be grateful that we are alive because living is a grand thing.

Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy -- because we will always want to have something else or something more.
~David Steindl-Rast~

Early Morning Clear Sky
I'm early for my day job today, at 7:30am I'm already at the office. And before doing my regular thing I'll do my post first for today. Taken just a while ago before going in the office.
The sun is mightily overpowering the sky here in the Philippines, after number of storms last year, this year we are facing "El NiƱo" or drought. Hydroelectric plants here in Mindanao cannot generate the demand power because of low water level at Lake Lanao our main source of power, that is why everyday we are experiencing rotating brownout.
This is my SkyWatch Friday for today and a little happenings here in our country.

Litratong Pinoy # 92 Iyo (Yours)
Luckily the 2-day seminar about Site and Equipment Identification and Labeling ended early today, I was able to do my post Filipino Photo with theme "Yours".
I took this photo last Saturday when our badminton group hold a little tourney. We were able to complete four pairs and push through with the tourney with pot money and the champion will have to take with them the whole amount of the pot money.
The pictures shows Jong2x looking at Father Iking and seem like saying "That shuttle is "yours", so take it take it". lol
What do you think?
