Red Zinnia

My DSLR had given up on me and he's now due for an operation at the service center. I'm just waiting for my friend to bring it to Canon Service Center in Davao City. I hope it will be fine after the repair, I do hope it's still repairable.

For now and for the days to come I'll be posting photos taken before by my beloved DSLR, until such time he's okay and I can take new shots using it.

This is a red Zinnia, taken at my elder brother's front yard. I love the striking color.

Watery Leaves

Oh Yeah! It rained so hard while ago and with just few minutes of pouring it stopped. That means, I can go out and take some snaps of watery leaves and flowers. Here's what I've found today...


A drenched colorful leaf of Croton plant or locally known as the "San Francisco" plant. This leafy plant is a very popular decorative plant in the neighborhood.

Yellow Euphorbia

My last post was a pink euphorbia, this time it will be a yellow one. Also freshly drenched with water after the heavy rain from last night.

If only we have our own home, with my own garden I could be seeing these flowers around me but sad to say we're still on the process of planning on how to have one. In the meantime I'm posting this freshly watered pink euphorbia from my brother's front yard.

To My Dear Sister

I dedicate this post to my dear sister who should be celebrating her 46th birthday today, but sad to say she left as early, she died and joined our Almighty Creator last April 2011.

I missed her so much even though we don't see each other often before because of geographical location. Now I can only see her in my heart.

Is my DSLR retiring soon?

From Error 01 now my entry level Canon 1000D DSLR camera is also experiencing Error99. Thinking I'll be saying goodbye to my beloved camera soon is frightening especially now that I can't afford to buy another one. it sucks!


Hubby and I had had to do research what causes this problems. The error 01 could be on the lens because every time the 18-55mm lens is set to 18mm the error comes out we had to adjust it at 24mm up so that we can use it without having the error.

Accordingly, upgrading the firmware of the camera will eliminate error 99, we did the upgrade but unfortunately it still has the error every time we did the first shot. Had to turn the camera off, remove the battery and restart it so that we can take few more shots before it will experience another Err99.

Very stressful and irritating, but I guess we'll be doing the process from time to time, until we'll be able to discovered the real cause or until we'll be able to send the item at Canon Service Center in Davao City.

Apple Tree Resort

Our group had a live-in-seminar at Apple Tree Hotel & Resort on November 8-9, 2011. Formerly known as Lauremar Hotel & Resort is located at Opol, Misamis Oriental along the long stretch of Macajalar Bay. Aside from the beach you can also relax and enjoy their swimming pool under the blue bright sky.

Homeward Bound

Together with hubby, Xye and my son's yaya, we've set off to Zamboanga City on October 30, 2011 to visit my parents' and sister's grave on "All Souls Day" and at the same time had spent the long weekend holidays in my hometown.

On our way, I was able to take some snaps while inside the moving vehicle and before my DSLR had experienced Error 99. Here's some of the photos I took...
