Yellow Flower

Who would have thought it possible that a tiny little flower could preoccupy a person so completely that there simply wasn't room for any other thought.

This yellow flower taken in our neighborhood, I wish I know her name.

Pinkish Lavender Flowers

Flowers are the music of the ground
From earth's lips spoken without sound.
~EDWIN CURRAN, "Flowers"~

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.
~Audrey Hepburn~

I saw this beauties at dawn in our neighborhood. Pretty pinkish lavender flowers that blooms abundantly in a vine-like plant. I hope to get her name soon.

One Sunny & Windy Afternoon

Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.

Looking for Professional Photographer?

With the fast pace of technological advancement, gadgets like digital cameras are already within reach.  Almost every individual today can afford digital cameras. From professional photographers with their high-end DSLRs to ordinary people with simple point and shoot digital cameras to capture their everyday lives.

As much as we want to capture our every moment including special occasion we simply can’t do that on our own especially if those moments that we are celebrating involves ourselves, our own family. That is why on special occasions that we need to look back after, like weddings, birthdays, anniversary celebration, etc. we need professional photographers to capture those wonderful moments for us.

Finding the right photographer is also distressing especially to people like us who do not know anyone who can do the job we require. And looking and flipping the local phone directory is very conventional and inconvenient.

Recently, I came across a website named photographers.com.au wherein professional photographers were put together in one directory. Here, Australian professional photographers were categorized in their specific specialization like weddings, event, portrait or advertizing photography.  Photographers are also grouped by location. Thus, it is easier to search for the professional you needed wherever your location in Australia.

You can also check out their previous work or coverage in the website, because every photographer has their own portfolio for you to scan and assess their composition. This will definitely help you decide which photographer to book.

Photographers.com.au is indeed a very helpful tool for people who are looking for professional photographers or any photography related services the fastest way, it is a website that puts people in Australia in contact with the pro.

Fly Fly Little Bird

“I respect the man who knows distinctly what he wishes. The greater part of all mischief in the world arises from the fact that men do not sufficiently understand their own aims. They have undertaken to build a tower, and spend no more labor on the foundation than would be necessary to erect a hut.” ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe~

See the little bird approaching it?

I accidentally caught him in the act. My mobile phone has no capability to freeze him unlike DSLRs.

Be like the bird in flight . . . pausing a while on boughs too slight, feels them give way beneath her, yet sings knowing yet, that she has wings.

Pretty Spider Lilies

~Buddha Quotes~

Spider Lilies

I do not know the exact name of this flower, but I'm pretty sure that this belongs in the lily family. Since it looks like spiders because of the slim petals, I tried to google it using the name "spider lily".  Luckily luck, I found her, it is indeed named Spider Lily!

Wooden Rafts at the Sea

If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.
~Antoine de Saint-Exupery~

Okra, The Lady's Fingers

One my favorite vegetable is Okra, also known as lady's fingers in other countries. Okra is actually a perrenial flowering plant that has no certain parentage but some says belongs in the mallow family and is scientifically known as Abelmoschus. It bears several dark green pods that are eaten as vegetables.

These are the flowers of Okra, blooming in our front yard.

My husband chose to plant okra near the front fence to shield us from extreme heat from the sun because okra grows up to 2 meters tall. The instruction was to plant the okra with 90cm distance from each other but my husband misread it, instead he planted it with distance of 9cm. I do not know if they will still grow as high as 2 meters because to date it had grown around 2 feet tall and has started to give us pods for vegetables.

Anyway, even though they will not serve the purpose of giving us shade but at least they have given us healthy vegetables.

You can check the health benefits of okra here.

St. Augustine Cathedral

This is the St. Augustine Cathedral in Cagayan de Oro City.

photo taken using Samsung Galaxy S2
Early morning of August 1, 2012, my husband and I attended the 6am mass at St. Augustine Cathedral that we have offered for our little angel who was taken from us 40 days ago. She was a stillborn baby girl, my little angel that supposedly should be born this month. But unfortunately, God chose her to be His angel before she was even been born. Although I already accepted everything that had happened. still the pain remains in my heart.
