I'm saying goodbye to my first love, my Canon 1000D, his time is up, the errors keep on coming and the
pop-flash won't work anymore. His quality service to me will finally end after four years.
After saving up for my WANT for a long time, finally she's here, my new boyfriend, my new Canon 60D DSLR Camera with 18-135mm kit lens. Yippee!
I been wishing for her for quite some time now, in fact she's in my birthday wishlist for 2 years.
Too excited... I pointed the lens to anything I see around me. But I chose to share the following taken from our front yard with no tweaks just straight from the camera, no particular setting, only the picture mode was set at "P".
The yellow okra flower
The violet flower that I seldom get the right color when photograph. But with 60D it turn out well. A little practice with the setting, I think I'll be able to get it right.
Dry weeds, I was trying to focus the Christmas tree like branches but to no avail, I think a different lens will do.
The papaya leaves.
The Croton plant, locally known as San Francisco plant. It has tiny flowers. I took a macro shot of this flower sometime ago
here.
The flower turn out well, after cropping the above picture.
It will take me forever to master this new gadget, but I think I'll do great in the distant future. For now, I'll take it one step at a time. Goodluck to me!
