Ipomoea Aquatica Flower

Ipomoea Aquatica, water spinach in English and known as "kangkong" in the Philippines is a semiaquatic tropical plant that usually grows in water or moist soil. Grown and known also as leaf vegetable and it has a trumpet-shaped flower usually of light lavender or white just like in the photos below.





I spotted this flowering kangkong at Bukidnon, during our vacation last month, although it's near to withering stage but still it look great to point my lens at.

    Indonesian people call it 'kangkung' - only a little bit different :)

    oh yes, kangkong has flowers nga pala! i almost forgot.:p they look like morning glory.
