Gomphrena Globosa

These rich magenta blooms are commonly seen anywhere in the country. It is an annual plant with scientific name Gomphrena Globosa also known as the Globe Amaranth or the Bachelor Button.  




These button like flowers of purple never fail to give colorful life to your flower garden.

  1. Hi Janz I never thought this is also called bachelors button. I have a flower here that is blue in color and is also called bachelors button. Looks like a chive flowers too. Awesome shot!

  5. I used to see this kind of flower when I was still a kid and when the place I grew up was still free of tenants and houses. Now I don't see them anymore unless I went to my mother's province.
