Yellow Gerbera Daisies
I had another encounter with gerbera daisies two weeks ago at Rustan's Supermarket. I'm glad I had my smartphone with me all the time, I can take pictures anytime, anywhere as long as I had it fully charged. :)

Back to the Sea
We
are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to
sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came.

Red Bird of Paradise
Caesalpinia pulcherrima is a shrub that belongs in the pea family that usually grows up to 3 meter long. This flowering plant is also known as ponciana, red bird of paradise, peacock flower, etc. and is the national flower of the Caribbean island Barbados.
Nobody can really tell the origin of this plant because it is widely cultivated across the globe. Here in the Philippines you can see these orange and yellow blooms just anywhere.

One Fine Mid Morning
"Sunshine
is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is
exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only
different kinds of good weather."

Sunday at the Beach
Two weeks ago on an early (6AM) Sunday morning, we went to a nearby beach because husband and son had colds and runny noses the previous days. It is said that morning dip at the beach will help heal the sickness brought by the rainy season quicker.
The sky is almost clear from gray clouds, the rain had finally stopped and we've welcome the rising of Mr. Sun.
X was checking out the sea water if cold or not.
Watching his Ate washing and preparing his floater.
And finally hopped in his floater for a relaxing ride..
Minutes later my sister-in-law and her family arrived and joined us. We left the beach around 9AM after breakfast, because the Mr. Sun was already shining intensely.

Yellow Weed Flowers
They may look like flowering plants but actually they are weeds in the rice fields. But no matter how you look at it they also give beautiful blooms and should be appreciated as well. After all
Photos taken using my Samsung Galaxy S2 Smartphone. I was trying out the macro focus of the it's 8MP camera. So far so good! Although I wasn't able to get a cleaner background unlike the DSLR.

In the Ricefield
Early morning on March 18, 2013, Hubby and I went to the vast rice fields across my parents-in-law's house in Cabaglasan, Bukidnon. We're trying to catch a better view of the two trees at the corner of the rice fields to be used in the photography contest.
We were successful to photographed the subject trees, but was not good
enough for the judges of the contest. The finalists were up but ours was
not included. too bad.. :(
Anyway, we are waiting for another photography contest organized by the company we're working for and hope by that time we'll be able to join again and hopefully win. :)
Meanwhile, the photo above was taken using my mobile phone, hubby was walking in front of me. We've done our job and were on our way home.
Happy 7th Birthday SkyWatch Friday!

The Pink Gerbera Daisy
One of the flowering plants that I really want to have in our frontyard are gerbera daisies. The problem is where to get the seedlings! I have to do some research first and hopefully find it soon.
Meanwhile, let's take a closer look at the pink gerbera daisy that I have spotted in Rustan's Fresh Supermarket few weeks back. I'm glad I was able to take the photo even using only my mobile phone. The guards are nice enough not to call my attention.
See who will not fall in love with this flower, the color is so vibrant and refreshing isn't it?
