Loving Sky Ranch, Tagaytay in Less Than 3-Hours

Remember our one week official travel in Laguna? Well, one beautiful afternoon after our activity, our group went out for a short trip to Sky Ranch, Tagaytay. At first, I thought that Tagaytay is too far from BiƱan, Laguna but turned out to be less than an hour trip, considering the less traffic on a Wednesday, afternoon. We arrived in Tagaytay, almost 6PM, the sky was already dusk after the sun has set. Too bad we can’t see Taal Lake from the Ranch.

Visiting the place on weekdays is a very good choice, because you get to enjoy the place minus the bunch of people unlike on weekends.

The Sky Eye at the back

Even without the Taal view, the 8 of us tried the so called tallest Ferris Wheel in the country the “Sky Eye”, standing 63 meters (541 ft).

The boys inside the gondola
The Sky Eye has 32 gondolas, which is a bit smaller compared to the Ferris wheel at Star City (sorry, that’s the only Ferriswheel I rode), next time I’ll make sure to try out others like the MOA or EK.

The gondola can actually carry 4 people at the same time, it so happened that 3 of us are oversized therefore, the gondola’s leg room was too small for us. We managed by sitting cross legged, so everything was just fine, as long as we’re together.  Winks*

The Carousel taken from the Sky Eye
By the way, here’s a tip for you, when you ride the Sky Eye or any other Ferris wheel refrain from taking so many pictures of yourselves inside the gondola because the moment you realized you need to look at the view from above, the wheel had already gone down. No problem if you still have P150 for another round, but if not, just take a few photos then enjoy the scenery outside. J

Children at Play
Anyway, after the Sky Eye Experience, we unleashed the child inside us by riding the carousel. Thanks heavens the horses can carry heavy weight like us. Hehehe..The carousel is sure fun not only for kids, but also for the kids at heart.

Later, before heading out for dinner we took some moments to treasure, pictures…

Feel LOVE

Memories to cherish
Now it’s time for dinner…

When you visit a place for the first time, isn’t it a rule that you have to dine out in a place that is also new to your eyes, and popular in the area, right? Well, if you have extra budget, you may, but if not you can always dine in the most common fast food chains in the country, like Jollibee, KFC, etc. In our case we wanted something new and tried out Leslie’s.

Sisig
For a group of 9 (plus the driver), we paid a total bill of  P3,000+ for the delicious food above (2 orders or each dish). It was a sumptuous meal, that we even got to bring home leftovers.

Leslie's!
By 8:30PM we headed back to Seda Hotel Nuvali, for a goodnight’s sleep and recharging ourselves for another action sports event the following day.

The less that 3 hours visit toTagaytay Ranch was a very memorable and enjoyable experience for us, especially that, the trip there was an additional and not really in our itinerary. Thanks to our team coordinator for arranging the vehicle for us.

Until Next time.

  9. The husband and I also had a good time visiting Sky Ranch at Tagaytay but that was last year pa. Super appreciated ko din yung mga wala sa planong side trips like this kapag may work travel.

  10. We planned to visit Tagaytay last Holy Week but we heard about the super long traffic daw. I want to go to Sky Ranch pa naman. Because of Matt's field trip last December, nawala fear ko sa rides kaya matapang na ko ngayon haha.

  14. Sky Ranch isa must visit when one is in Tagaytay. You're right, it gets pretty busy on weekends and holidays. I've only been outside of the ranch (aka restaurants) because I always see a long queue sa entrance.
