Ms. Lily in Full Bloom

Though I was devastated after my 8GB SD full of pictures from our last vacation had corrupted still I am lucky I was able to salvage few shots of lilies that I have captured on our way to my husband's hometown.

Somewhere, along Valderama (I believed still part of Malaybalay Bukidnon), we spotted a pond full of giant water lilies. I have never seen such beauties before, thus what  will a photo addict like me do? I asked hubby to pull over and had spent about 15 minutes  around just clicking my camera. Satisfaction Guaranteed. Yippeee!

Here's some of the snaps I had, featuring the very beautiful Miss Lily of Valderama.

Let's take a little closer and see some details.

Perfect beauty right? If you want to look at her so young and in black and white, click here.

Lily Bud

A lily bud waiting for her right moment to bloom and display her exquisiteness.

Converted this photo in black and white, quite an interesting result.

Watch her bloom on my next post.

The Two Towers

We had to stopped somewhere along Zamboanga City - Iligan City national highway purposely to take some snaps of the  two 138kv transmission towers. Standing side by side and carrying with them our main electricity highway in Mindanao.

Water From the Rain

I have taken many photos from our vacation in Bukidnon last week, but my 8GB SD had corrupted thus I've lost most of the pictures except for this batch that I was able to upload in my laptop right after we've arrived at my in-laws house.

Can you guess in what big leaf the rain water has taken it's rest after the heavy down pour?

Wild Sunflower of Bukidnon

While on our way to my hubby's hometown in Bukidnon, I spotted bushes of yellow flowers. I asked my husband to pull-over so that I can have a closer look and see what the flowers are and of course took some snaps too, and found out that these yellow flowers looks like a Sunflower but much smaller. I asked my sister-in-law what they are and she told me that they are wild sunflowers

Help! My Kit Lens is Sick Again

My Canon 18-55is kit lens had undergone a repair last year at Canon Service Center in Davao City. Last Friday, I experienced the same problem again. My Canon 18-55is kit lens does not auto focus. waaaah!

My Sigma 18-250mm lens also had the same sickness and until now I wasn't able to have it repaired.  :(

Now what? My only surviving lens is the Canon 50mm, I have no choice but to settle with it for the time being. I do hope I can have both lens repaired or better yet get lucky enough to have a new DSLR with a new lens. in my dreams! waaaah

White Spiked Insect

I spotted this tiny insect with white spike on his back, measuring more or less 2-3mm crawling on one of the branches that I had picked for macro photography experiments. Isn't it an eerie beauty at super close up?

That's what I love about macro though we only used extension tubes because we can't afford to buy a super macro lens, I was able to capture and appreciate concealed details of tiny creatures.

Thanks to my husband for helping me out on this DIY macro photography. Our project is far from perfection because we still lack lights, the ring light that hubby had done is not enough to light up our subjects. :(

Forever in Our Hearts

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me"...
~ Psalm 23

Though it's hard to believe that you have left us and joined Our Father Almighty, but we have to accept the fact that your days were up and that your mission in this world had been fulfilled already.

Though we'll not be able to see you physically, I know that you're always there with Mom and Dad to watch over us. Your memories will remain in our hearts forever.

In Memory of My Dear Sister Daisy Mae who passed away on April 9, 2011.
