Red Hibiscus at My In-Law's Frontyard

This red hibiscus plant had been on my in-laws front yard for many years already. I've seen her years back when we visited hubby's hometown at Cabanglasan, Bukidnon, Philippines. I should have photographed her then, but unfortunately I don't own a DSLR that time, and using a point and shoot camera to take her photo had never came into my mind.

Two years ago, I was able to take her photo using my Canon 1000D camera on her very early stage. A bud that is so beautiful, fresh and waiting to bloom on her own. You can check it here.

Last Friday, we spent our long holiday at my in-laws place. As always these pretty plant never fails to give us beautiful blooms.

I photographed her after the rain this time using a Canon 60D DSLR, but looks like the rain drops were taken in by the petals. You have to look at it carefully for you to see the water.

  1. Gumamela at whatever color is well-loved around the world. Sometimes we ignore them here because they are perennially there, but they are already a big part of our psyche as a people! Isn't it?
