A Farewell to Our Former President

August 5, 2009, a nationwide special holiday here in the Philippines to commemorate the funeral of our beloved former President Corazon C. Aquino. She was born in January 25, 1933 and died on August 1, 2009 at 76 years old. Cory Aquino is considered to be the mother of democracy after she fought peacefully thru people power on 1986 to free every Filipino from the 20-year dictatorial Marcos administration.

I woke up at 10am today and switched on the television to watch the live broadcast of Tita Cory’s final mass and funeral procession from Manila Cathedral to Manila Memorial Park where she will rest in peace beside her husband former Senator Benigno Ninoy Aquino.

Although it’s raining in Metro Manila, still so many Filipinos lining the streets, waiting, wanting to view for the last time the beloved 1^st female president in Asia. This depicts how well she’s loved by the Filipinos, the nation grieves, and the nation mourns.

Although how painful it is to bid our goodbyes to her but still he have to send her off to her final rest with pride that once we had known a leader, a woman whom we will look up to for the rest of our lives.

Work.. Reports..

A busy day for me today, I had tons of works done. One report that was turned over to our group that I do not know anything about, that still needs to be studied, data links needed to be traced and the bad part was I have to start from backlogs. I spent the whole day doing it, while I still have a daily report to be submitted every afternoon.

Thank God, I had it all done at the end of the day.

Zamboanga City: A Long & Winding Road

After my shift as dispatcher at ZACC May 26, 2009, were I was previously assigned, got bored and nothing else to do for 3 days until my next shift, I decided to spend the day-offs at my husbands place. So, I packed my things, grabbed my camera and got a lift going to Iligan City.

While on mobile, Erwin & I took a stop somewhere along the way, got ourselves on top of the hill and have this stunning view taken. A long and winding road never appreciated while passing on it and dramatic clouds we usually see but never took notice of it's beauty.

Rest in Peace Madam Cory

August 1, 2009 - Philippines mourns today after hearing that our former President Corazon C. Aquino, our country's first "Lady President" finally went with the Lord after suffering from cancer for a year, she died at the age of 76.

As the 11th President of Philippine Republic, Pres. Aquino took over and led our country after the 1986 EDSA People Power were Filipinos joined hands to stripped Former President Ferdinand Marcos power and ended his 20-year tyranny.

President Aquino was a model for every Filipino, as a leader, as a mother, as a woman she was an inspiration for all of us, she's the mother of our nation with that she will always remain in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
