The Dinner + Few Shopping Finds in Nanjing

We’re done with breakfast and lunch, now let’s hurry back to the hotel for the dinner…

Because we were so curious with the kind of food that the hotel will serve for dinner, we stayed until it’s over on the first day before heading out to explore the malls and stores nearby. These are the dishes served, still no exotic foods in sight;

The Cherry Blossoms in Nanjing, China

Later did I realized that these flowers blooming inside the institute’s compound were actually some variety of the beautiful cherry blossoms.

I took some photos, using only my point and shoot camera, from the pathway.  As much as I want to get nearer and reach out for these almost fuchsia flowers, but can't because the cherry trees were taller than what my maximum reach.

Busy Airport + The Runway Viewed from Above

The last time I updated this blog was in February. Imagine! I myself can't believe I have neglected this blog for 2 long months. What's up with me? All I can think of is the same old reason, I was too busy with my day job the past months and I'm sure even in the coming months, after all it's our bread and butter. So to restart the journey.. Here's a photo of busy airport ground in Laguindingan Airport, Misamis Oriental, another plane has landed and passengers on board are starting to deplane.

Another one was taken above the ground wherein you can see the runway strip of Laguindingan Airport. A newly built airport that operated last year.

Blue and Peaceful

It's the 8th day of January, and the busy body me never got a chance to post something here until today. Yay! 

Anyway it's a brand new year and I hope everyone is doing well in their first eight days and hoping that our whole year will be peaceful, with more blessings, graces and happiness.

To start this year's series of photos, here's one that I took last Monday, a blue and peaceful sea. I drove myself to Iligan from Cagayan de Oro the other day and took few minutes to stop by at the Centennial Park. The sea look do serene in a sunny midday. 

It was a good decision to pull over to take some snaps for Water World Wednesday. Because by late afternoon, this scene transformed into a gloomy sight because of the threatening rain and dark gray clouds, the first for the year in this part of the world.

And as of this writing, I can hear the rain drops pounding on our roof. Let's enjoy the wonderful rainy day!
