Flower 101 - A Painting Like Photo

Yesterday was a very busy day for me, I had a bunch of report that needs to be accomplished, my table was stacked with files, reports, etc. I'm exhausted running from here and there to have my work signed, since my boss was nowhere to be found. I finished everything just in time to punched out and went home.

After work, my friend sent me an sms and invited me to play our favorite sports badminton, we ended our friendly game around 10pm and went directly to our Jong and Mia's place to our "barkadas" (friends) for a chatting and drinking session.

But anyways though it's late I have to post something here, hmmm let me see...I searched my files and I found this very beautifully taken shot. I'm in love with this photo it looks like a painting.

I had this "anthurium" shot while visiting a garden in Cagayan de Oro City. I remember my mother while photographing this flower. We used to have a garden back in ZC but nobody has taken care most of the plants after my mom died since I'm working away from our homeland.

So I had this photo taken in memory of my mom.

Boring Rainy Afternnon

It’s 2PM with heavy rain and angry wind outside and I feel very sleepy, my afternoon is getting bored because I can’t do my afternoon update on “Load Forecasting” one of my daily reports, because our server is down, network disconnected.

I wanted to write and post something about this weary feeling so I connected to the internet using my pre-paid broadband. The connection is so slow, it took me sometime to load my site.

Fun Weekend in Cagayan

What a FUN weekend we had. Joel, Joven, Jong, Mia, Nice, Jessie and I together went to spend an exciting weekend at Cagayan de Oro City to experience the remaining fiesta spirit after the feast of San Agustin on August 28, 2009 while Bryan and Karen followed behind after lunch and met us at the Southwind Hotel in CDO.

Lunch was served at Declaro’s Residence in Grand Europa Housing near SM CDO. Glen our badminton buddy had no choice but to prepare foods after Nice made a “makulit” agreement with her wife Kathy.

After lunch, the group had a session in one of our favorite hang-out “Badminton Court”. The group had a friendly match, too bad I forgot to bring with me out badminton gear. Jessie

also wasn’t able to play because I did the task of packing of our belongings and I really forgot about the agreement to have a friendly match at Shuttle Square. So we ended up us cheerers.

After the game another food trip at old time favorite the Bagong Lipunan Restaurant.

Mall Decorations - Kagay-an Festival

Cagayan de Oro City celebrates Kagay-an Festival every month of August, the Feast of patron saint San Agustin and during these days malls are the busiest place in town. Gaisano, Lim Ket Kai and SM are the three major malls in the city offering their own version of mall sale and other activities. And who would miss the main attraction, good for the eyes colorful mall decorations.

My husband and I are two of the thousands of people who find time to visit the mall and grabbed the opportunity to shop on sale items. While doing our shopping spree our camera will always accompany us to be able to capture ordinary and special moments encounter anytime anywhere.

And this time my camera pointed to...Mall decorations at Lim Ket Kai Atrium...

Layout & Scrapping for a Lesser Printing Cost

I started doing simple scraps (if you can call it one) sometime in 2007. I did it just because I wanted printouts of all our pictures taken using a digital camera.

With hundreds and thousands of pictures stored only in the pc hard drive it is very in convenient for me to look back all the photos and reminisce the happy memories. And in case the hard drive will crash everything will be gone.

So I did layouts combining 2 or more pictures and had it print on a 5x7 photo paper.

Some of my simple and hurriedly done layouts.
These were the days of my 2-year stay in Metro Manila....

That's me enjoying a free overnight stay with friends at Trader's Hotel in Pasay City. I won this privilege during the Shangrila Hotel Badminton Tournament in 2007.
