Coffee + Cakes at Margie's Kitchen, Butuan + First Time Meet Up
While in Butuan, I got a chance to
meet a fellow blogger, an online friend in person. She is the lady
behind the blog The Unstressed. She fetched me at the hotel and off we went to
Margies Bakeshop one of the best in the city, when in terms of sweet
indulgence.
The first thing I ordered when we
arrived there was a cup of hot cappuccino. It was a rainy afternoon and something
hot, especially coffee will boost me up.
Aside from the coffee, I also had spaghetti
carbonara while Kat also ordered hers which I forgot the name. (Next time, I see to it to take photos of
the menu, because I really am a forgetful person.) Kat also ordered two
slices of cake a chocolate one and a mocha with peanut (don’t know the name again!).
Later, did I realized that Margie’s
best are the desserts. If only I have known beforehand, I should have ordered more
on the desserts and minus the pasta. Huh!
Anyway, thank you, dear Kat for
taking me to Margie’s, for the free treats and most of all for the time you
have spent in spite of your busy schedule. I hope to see you again next time.
And by that time, we’ll indulge more in the cakes and desserts at Margie’s and
it will be my turn to take the bill, okay?.
It was really fun talking to you,
or I do most of the talking (madaldal
lang ang peg, hehehe). Actually, I’m one silent person really, especially
to people I do not know because I always run out of topic. But with you, it’s
like I have known you for a long time when in fact it was our first time to
meet in person. Thanks to BC Blogger Comment Exchange, our life stories are
already made known to each other.
Wow its nice to know na nagkikita pala in person ang fellow BC bloggers. The foods looks nice :)
ReplyDeleteBecause of your many correspondences through the months or even the years in BC Bloggers, meeting for the first time wouldn't be like it. Parang long lost friend lang na nagtapo ulit ang scene. :)
ReplyDeleteOo nga sis! It's like WEat BC Bloggers have already know each other for years. hehehe.. Maybe next time we'll meet in person too...
DeleteFeeling relieved, unstressed of the day-to-day burden? Getting the right direction and the maturity of dilly-dally talking? That's how I sense you while reading your blog. The meeting up with friend Kat seems satisfying and complete so to speak, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIn your blog title you mentioned Butuan. That place is so memorable to me. It is where our youngest son has served his 2-year mission in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in several parts of Philippines Butuan Mission. And He has served in Butuan City itself. DeleteI'm not much of a coffee drinker (it triggers my UTI) but I do love pastries! I especially love anything that has chocolates in it (what girl doesn't?).
ReplyDeleteI would love to meet fellow bloggers from my city. I don't know any aside from my co-workers and our interns. I hope I'd be able to travel this year too and meet some of the amazing members of the BC Bloggers community.
Hi Sis! Zamboanga City is my hometown. Who knows we might bump to each other when I go visit my brothers and their families back home sometime this year.
DeleteI haven't met any bloggers pa sa BC Bloggers. I hope someday. :)

ReplyDeleteI learned from your post that I should have asked the specialty of the resto before ordering. hehehe.
BC Bloggers group page is an instrumental of getting together bloggers in and outside the country. I remember that I was invited to join this group by one of the organizers and from that time forth, I have gained friends, and wide exposures to various bloggers and various sites.
