Ampalaya Flower
Have you seen an ampalaya flower?
Amplaya is the local name of Momordica charantia widely known as the bitter gourd or bitter melon in English.
The flower is too pretty, who would believe that a vine with pretty flower like this will bear a warty looking fruit and with bitter taste.
Yes ampalaya flower is beautiful though very small, i always take shots of them too!

ReplyDeleteThat is a very delicate little flower. I was just looking at bitter melons in the grocery store yesterday. I ended up not buying one, but I would like to try one one of these days. (I've never had one before.)

It always amazes me that such a beautiful flower can come from a fruit or vegetable plant. Thank you very much for sharing with Today's Flowers. I am sorry I haven't been by before but I have had family staying with us this past week, and spent very little time on the computer. Have a great weekend!
