Located in the island of Panglao, the Church of Lady of Assumption in Dauis Town is another beautiful church found in Bohol Philippines. The record of this sophisticated and complex structure can be traced back in 1753. Light materials were used then to build the church and had undergone several reconstruction until 1863, when Rev. Fr. Julio Saldana, a Recollect started the construction of the 5th structure, that’s the present church we have now, after that series of add-ons and repairs were made and that's history.

ReplyDeleteIt's a very beautiful church. A little unique in the sense that the upper portion of the facade doesn't fit my idea of a church facade :) It has more of a public office type.
