The Church of Sta. Monica Parish is located along the highway of Alburquerque Town in Bohol , established in 1869 after being separated from Baclayon. In 1886 report it indicated that the church was built using light materials. There was no certain date on the construction of the church but the building indicates that it was built or renovated on the 20th century.
Alburquerque is the also the home of the biggest Python in captivity. It has a length of approximately 23 feet and estimated weight of 300kg.
When you’re in Bohol see to it you’ll visit Prony the female Python.
Well, he does look as though he enjoys company! Great post January, lovely photos! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a great week!

Jan -- I'm Cagay-anon bred and born, hope you had a nice trip here.
ReplyDeleteThat python looks scary even if it's just lying there. It's obvious, judging by Prony's girth, that she (?) can easily swallow the two of you without a breaking a sweat. Not that they sweat, lol.
And sorry for being naughty, but I can't help noticing that Big Guy has a protective hand covering the 'family heirlooms' ROFL!
OMG!!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are safe and you must get a bravery award for getting so close to it. I can never imagine myself doing something like that.
I liked your profile writeup. :)
