Bougainvillea Bulb
Hubby picked a white bougainvillea flower at our neighbor's front yard to have another experiment on macro. Our aim was to take a close-up shot of the tubular flower in between the white bract of this beautiful Brazilian flower called Bougainvillea.

It looks like a mini flash light. Nice macro!
ReplyDeleteNice macro! we have lots of bougainvilleas here in Singapore, in parks and along the roads. They thrive in hot climate.
ReplyDeletePretty. I love bougainvillea!
ReplyDeleteSo many people confuse the bracts with the flowers on this one, don't they? The flowers are so interesting though, blown up like this so you can see them.
ReplyDeleteWe had a beautiful rosy red one in our yard in New Zealand. Fun to have such an exotic plant in our garden while we were there. :)
Jan, that is superb!

Nice one Jan. You might also try photographing from the side to get more of the "stem" in focus. Macro and focus is always a tradeoff. Stop down as far as you can and use a slow shutter speed.
