The sun is mightily overpowering the sky here in the Philippines, after number of storms last year, this year we are facing "El NiƱo" or drought. Hydroelectric plants here in Mindanao cannot generate the demand power because of low water level at Lake Lanao our main source of power, that is why everyday we are experiencing rotating brownout.
This is my SkyWatch Friday for today and a little happenings here in our country.
Beautiful sky, lovely trees, perfect capture, January! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Beautiful tropical sight.
ReplyDeleteI hope the gov't would start using solar power to supplement the power needs.
That's a lovely, warm picture. It's been anything but warm this week in my part of the world.
ReplyDeleteI missed the fresh buko juice ^_^

Whee you are having a drought, the U.S. is getting to much snow. We have plenty of moisture to share with you.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Jan. Reminds me of my place in the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely view of paradise. The silhouettes of the palm trees look wonderful set against the blue heavens. The bright sun seems powerful as it lights up the palm trunks. A nice look as paradise!
ReplyDeleteHello January, lovely shot dear! I am also from Mindanao.
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous, cloudless sky, but it sounds like you'd be more than happy to see some clouds come up with some rain. The weather is so fickle - it's either too much or not enough.
ReplyDeleteWow jan very clean tropical sight! lovely kaayo!

ReplyDeletewe need more wind power!
Sigh. Yup, the rotating brownouts are all over the country. And what irritates me is that the national government was warned by CRC more than five years ago that this would happen! But did they try to build more power generators? Nooo-oh. Duh.
ReplyDeleteAch. Enough stressful thoughts. It's the weekend! Hope yours will be happy!
And a lovely, dizzying photo you posted! :)
My first time in Looking at the Sky on Friday meme.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the rotating brownouts are annoying!
Like Hilda wrote - why the goverment didn't do anything in advance...oh, boy...
Have a nice weekend anyway!
Happy sky looking from Cairo! :)

Beautiful shot of the sky and trees. One of my favorites today.
ReplyDeleteLovely blue sky!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful I wish I could look up and see something like that right now. For me it's just a bunch of snow clouds and bare trees...lol
ReplyDeleteI have always loved palm trees. Of course we don't have them here in Arkansas (USA). But, I have always found them to be fascinating and a great reminder of beaches and tropical weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along.
Have a great weekend!
